"When i was a kid, back in 2016-ish, my parents took us between here and castaic lake park, having arranged something with the people workin at both, for two weeks at a time, back n forth. recent reviews say the train is only during daylight hours! different than i remember, but hey, things change. i loved this place. it had bricks and a cool train, and forest that seemed SO FORESTY to me. bring your kids here, and if you're homeless, park your trailer here, and mind your manners, and theyll be nice about it probably. or hey, maybe they wont, cause apparently the train only comes thru in the daytime now! anythings possible! lmao! good park. i remember it fondly. your kids will too, probably. really felt adventurous, without any of the danger associated with actual forest adventure.

"Stayed one night in the lower campgrounds.
Cost $50 for online reservation.
The gate is half close if you come late, but you can still drive in by the open half. I arrived around 9 or 10pm.
Restroom is clean. Site has electricity outlet!
Noise:
The reviews are true about the noise for the train tracks . But I got lucky only two passed by in the early morning around 7am. So I wasn’t woken up by the noise.
Overall I’m okay with the site, since I just stayed for a night and leave early."

"We loved our stay at Oak Park Kampground. Janet and her husband were amazing they truly care about every person that comes to camp here. They have a fantastic store with every thing you may have forgotten as well as lots of fun stuff to make your stay so much fun. Great playground with Sand toys for the kids to play with. Balls of all types for kids to enjoy. Paddle boats are free to use and they have lifevest for you as well. Great swimming pool with a slide. Horseshoes and board games, to borrow. I wish every campground were this nice and family friendly. On top of it they do different events each weekend. This is truly a campground worth every penny."

"Had an absolute blast while staying at Oak Park. Kids loved the activities and adults enjoyed some free time. no crazy stuff after hours to keep you up. Hoping a seasonal is available next summer!!"

"Nice and very well maintained park. Nicely landscaped, play area for children, a pool, good wi-fi and nice sized spaces that made pulling in and out a breeze. We would definitely stay here again and perhaps stay a day or two longer."

"Very clean, quiet and pretty. We only stayed overnight so I can't say much more than that. Though they did have plenty of space where they could put up a fence for a dog park. Then it would be 5 stars."

"Not bad for a county park. Water and electric sites. Dump tank on site but was full. There is a gas station 5 mins away with a dump. Good cell service with Sprint but not AT&T. No WiFi. Great quiet little park and the cheapest we could find anywhere near LA. Very happy with the area this was in and still close enough to everything to not have to deal with being in the city. A train does come by but it's super fast and a non issue for us. The price would keep us coming back again and again if in the area."

"I have been going to Oak Park since I was a child. My Lopez family reunion has been held there for many years. It's a very traditional park with barbecue pits and hills to hike, which we did for many years. Now my grandchildren are enjoying it at our family reunion s. We even caught a dinosaur 🦕 😳 😁 in a raffle, of course😀"
